A Festival of Flowers

A Festival of flowers

A dance of petals and blooms

A serenade with springtime

Ushering summer in soon.

In the garden of life

friends are the wind chimes

that ring faithful and true

in winter winds or skies of blue.

I was so excited to post some of my flower pictures that I decided to go through my poem satchel and publish a bouquet of them too – so I’d have an excuse to post several sunny shots of spring colors… I hope these made you smile!

PS – The second poem is my first Elfje!  Thank you to a blogger friend for teaching me about these on your blog.

  1. thanks for the flowers today and your words that accompanied them 🙂 I am heading out the door to do some more shoveling … yikes … I will keep your post in the forefront of my mind … makes the job a little easier 🙂 thank you, Wendy

    1. Thank you, Heidi, for your lovely and gracious comment! It is raining a lot this week, so I’ve set aside my garden spade as I had been turning over the soil in the raised vegetable beds… I’m keeping an eye on the flowers to cheer me up. 😉 May we both not injure ourselves as we shovel snow or soil.

    1. Thank you, Don, for your encouraging comment! I enjoy posting cheerful flowers and words, but like the weather I sometimes post clouds and tears of rain…

  3. Stunning, Wendy!!! One thing I miss about having a snowy winter is these first signs of spring. It would always bring such joy discovering these treasures surfacing from the sleeping ground.
I think I will go for a walk to the beach looking for our signs of spring here in our 68F/17C degree weather–Hey!!! What am I talking about? I am looking at a sign of spring out my window as a mother dove is relaxing with her fledgling who is having difficulty flying. I will try and post pictures by tomorrow. I’m having a lot of difficulty with my computer right now. Now I’m really rambling.
I love the photos–especially the first two!!!!
    Cheers from SoCal!
