A Festival of flowers
A dance of petals and blooms
A serenade with springtime
Ushering summer in soon.

snowdrops have arrived
white pearls of early springtime
winter adios

In the garden of life
friends are the wind chimes
that ring faithful and true
in winter winds or skies of blue.

answered prayer calls out my name
faith is rewarded

I was so excited to post some of my flower pictures that I decided to go through my poem satchel and publish a bouquet of them too – so I’d have an excuse to post several sunny shots of spring colors… I hope these made you smile!
Sunny Blessings ~ Wendy
PS – The second poem is my first Elfje! Thank you to a blogger friend for teaching me about these on your blog.
Beautiful, Wendy! Spring still seems a long way away here, though i have my first snowdrops out in the garden finally 🙂
Sue, I am so glad to hear that you have snowdrops! It has been rainy this week but I look out at the flowers and it seems sunny anyway! Keep your eyes on the flowers…
Blessings dear friend ~ Wendy xo
I always do, Wendy. x
dear Wendy, beautiful pics, and lovely thoughts and words. Yes, I smiled, and the Elfje was great!

thanks for the flowers today and your words that accompanied them 🙂 I am heading out the door to do some more shoveling … yikes … I will keep your post in the forefront of my mind … makes the job a little easier 🙂 thank you, Wendy
Thank you, Heidi, for your lovely and gracious comment! It is raining a lot this week, so I’ve set aside my garden spade as I had been turning over the soil in the raised vegetable beds… I’m keeping an eye on the flowers to cheer me up. 😉 May we both not injure ourselves as we shovel snow or soil.
Blessings dear friend ~ Wendy xo
Your images are absolutely marvellous, Wendy – a liturgy of joy and beauty; And your words so poetic and full of beauty as well. Thank you. Wonderfully uplifting.
Thank you, Don, for your encouraging comment! I enjoy posting cheerful flowers and words, but like the weather I sometimes post clouds and tears of rain…
Blessings dear friend ~ Wendy 🙂
Stunning, Wendy!!! One thing I miss about having a snowy winter is these first signs of spring. It would always bring such joy discovering these treasures surfacing from the sleeping ground.
I think I will go for a walk to the beach looking for our signs of spring here in our 68F/17C degree weather–Hey!!! What am I talking about? I am looking at a sign of spring out my window as a mother dove is relaxing with her fledgling who is having difficulty flying. I will try and post pictures by tomorrow. I’m having a lot of difficulty with my computer right now. Now I’m really rambling.
I love the photos–especially the first two!!!!
Cheers from SoCal!
~Nina
Nina, you have me extremely curious about the doves! Thank you for your kind words.
