Refreshing Drops

Refreshing Drops

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Likes, comments, follows, and shares
are refreshing drops of encouragement
Visiting each other shows that we care
and wards off the dirge of discouragement
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Like drops of honey on homemade bread
is a visit with a following friend
Some blogs taste so good – I stay awhile
and never want them to end!
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
This poem is written for friends
who visit, follow, or like
I’ll try to do the same for you
if my filter says it’s alright…
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
I have a list of blogging friends that I would like to thank for recent and not so recent nominations for blog awards.  Instead of continuing to procrastinate about posting the nominations, I’ve decided to publicly thank my friends and encourage others to give them each a visit.  I’ve listed my friends’ links below. Thank you again for your encouragement. I’ve also decided that I will not be accepting awards anymore as I just pile them up and feel guilty.  I like creating and visiting!  And I really enjoy visits from all of you!
Here are some of my blogging friends who have kindly nominated me:
sakuraandme – http://depressionexists.wordpress.com
barrentoblessed – http://barrentoblessed.wordpress.com
pjgracecommunity – http://pjgracecommunity.wordpress.com
Steven S. Walsky – http://wordstoloveby.wordpress.com
lifeartnotes – http://lifeartnotes.com
Lada Ray – http://ladaray.wordpress.com
randomiser144 – http://randomizer144.wordpress.com
waji – http://waji203.wordpress.com
I think there is at least one nomination that I have lost track of and, if so, please forgive my neglect.  Thanks again for everyone’s encouragement!
  1. What a beautiful way to treat your nominations – by writing such thoughtful and encouraging words! I so understand what you are saying, and the meaning behind your tribute is so warm I could hug you! 🙂
    1. Melody, I could hug you back! Your blog is honey to my soul! There are some blogs I just HAVE to visit each day and yours is one of those…
      Blessings dear friend ~ Wendy
  2. I absolutely love the poem, Wendy!! Now, I’ll bet you’re taking a big relieved breath–ahh, the freedom of not doing awards!! Not to diminish them at all–I enjoyed them when I first started, but the “conditions” and time crunch started getting me down (and that’s not Caddo-like at all!!). God bless you big–love, Caddo
    1. Yes, Caddo, I do feel a big relief! I was thinking of that special couple you write about when I said in the poem that some blog posts I visit I never want to end…
      Blessings to you dear friend ~ Wendy xo
  3. What marvelous photos and sweet poem! I LOVE what you did here, Wendy, and how you handled all the nominations and awards. It shows your loving caring Jesus heart! 🙂 God bless you as you travel through blog land, blessing us all!
    1. Thank you, Debbie! I had intentions of following through on the awards but I am terrible at paperwork… Give me something creative to do and I’m happy. I even doodle in my sermon notebook while our pastor preaches – helps me stay alert!
      Blessings to you & family ~ Wendy
  4. Morning our ray of sunshine! *hugs* I feel a little low today and as usual, your posts make me smile. So I thank you for being a great blog/cyber friend! *smiling*
    I too no longer accept awards and understand how your feeling! ……Paula xx
  5. Your visits and comments are always encouraging and refreshing! Thanks for always taking the time to read my posts and leave such thoughtful words. I am thankful for the way God has allowed us to become friends through blogging! Your posts are definitely a highlight of my day, as they point my eyes back to our awesome Father and Creator! –Alison
    1. Thank you so much Alison! I love the idea of my posts pointing to our Creator. He is so generous to leave his signature all over nature. I often wonder what He was thinking as He made such intricacies for us to discover? Was it in any way like how parents feel as they fill children’s stockings on Christmas Eve and anticipate the wonder on the little ones’ faces?
      Blessings to you and your family, dear friend ~ Wendy xo
  6. Thank you for visiting my blog and liking my latest post. I found your blog today and love your beautiful photography and prose thoughts. What a great idea to list blog addresses for your special friends! I will visit you regularly.
  7. Just like the dew on the leaves in the morning, our Lord’s grace continues to nourish and bless all of His creation. Another great posting. I appreciate you choosing your priorities wisely. Lord bless you.
