Sweeping remains
as ashes
from a fire
Your blaze rendered
complete
Leaving only
burnished beauty
to desire
Fallen
descended
from arms of old
No longer necessary
Your story
has been told
Clinging
to wet earth
In mourning tears
of rain
Waiting
for winter winds
When
you will rise
again.

We are having rain after many very dry weeks. Outside it is fresh, cool, and colorful!

“So it will be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable…” 1 Corinthians 15: 42

Excellent mixture of poetry and nature. Can I call this as ‘nature poem.’ Its very nice. Have a nice day my friend.

Thank you! I agree it is a nature poem. Perhaps we can even go as far as to say that nature is a poem that the Lord has written for us to read and thereby we can know that He exists…

Very nice. Photos and words. God’s bounty shows us that we are given nature to share his majesty. As I see the trees and flowers unfold – His magnificence places me in awe.
Thanks for the treasures. Bloom on.

I love how God’s story of grace for us is written all over creation. I’m glad that He inspires your “translations” into such works of beauty–both in pictures and words. Keep going out and about in the world around you, for I’m sure something else will inspire you, which in turn is a gift to everyone with whom you share!

What kind words… I will treasure them as I go cut my son’s hair and then peel potatoes. Today I gave this son some pastels, as he draws amazing pictures. He asked if he could skip math so he could use them right away. Nice try! Perhaps he will capture nature with his artwork one day?
