It may involve risk; we may tumble.

Life is a mix of pain and pleasure; sweet and sour complement one another.

We may need to use it for our own safety too.

When I no longer smile at flowers, it will be because my smile has become perpetual.
Perennial flowers are my best friends in the garden.
Wildflowers are the fairies in the woods who smile back at me.

This fellow landed on the thistle just as I was photographing it.
A pleasant surprise!
I love visiting the woods.

I’ve shared with you the wildflowers that my son and I came across along Brown’s River.

Wendy, these were so special. The one about being bold, gave me pause and courage. And I loved the last one too, thinking of you gathering peace like flowers, bouquets of joy! Thank you and God bless you!!!

Thank you, Debbie! Being bold is natural for parents to do in protecting their children, but not always in protecting themselves; yet, they set a good example to the little ones to also take care of oneself.

The gorgeous thistle…sigh. Not too many of these in our parts in the south. You poem definitely spoke to me…my husband and I are definitely taking a risk right now in our plans for the future.

Laurie, I don’t think that we’ve ever regretted taking a well thought out risk. It is stressful; however, it is better to make your heat pound then to let it languish from giving into fear. Blessings on you two as you walk boldly & wisely into the future.

I had to look up haibun! Beautiful and profound – you have a way of letting the flowers speak and then telling us what they say! I know that sounds strange, but I think you will know what I mean, dear kindred spirit! And to God be all the glory! Thank you!

Thank you, Wanda! I agree that creation speaks with a gentle voice granted to it by the Creator. May we always be mindful of our need to praise God so that the rocks won’t sing alone…for we are without excuse.
