Sacred Simplicity

**********************

Some flowers bloom without our aid

as sacred elegance in the wild

Their seeds cast by nature’s hand

with the simplicity of a child

~

No fanfare or grand scheme designed

just a flight on wings and wind

as capsules of potential descend

upon the earth who takes them in

~

The Creator esteems such humble ways

and childlikeness a desirable trait

in order for true righteousness to be sown

in all matters of our faith.

These wildflowers are from the hike my husband and I took in Paradise Meadows.

I have so much to let go of ; yet , even in this God begins and completes the good work.

  1. All true. Thrilling how close-ups of flowers give such an amazing perspective, like seeing them again for the first time. When I first started doing that my farmer/gardener Mother had difficulty identifying a few of them. Again, amazing!

    1. Thank you! I love macro photography for that very reason. When Darwin came up with his theory, it was before we knew just how complex living things are. Who put all that information in the nucleus? 🙂

  2. Your poem was just perfect, Wendy .. .and then the flower photos and thoughts with them put this over the top with simple beauty and joy. I really looked when you talked about child like faith. Having a ‘forever child’ with me gives me great opportunity to learn these beautiful lessons of childlikeness. 😀 Thank you and God bless you always!

    1. Thank you, Debbie, for such a lovely comment. I remember a “forever child” making the most intriguing remarks at a church service years ago, and I found myself listening extra closely and being blessed for it. Blessings dear friend.

    1. It brings me joy to know that I can share His creation with others from all across the globe. Blessings to you, Bill, and your family. I admire and appreciate your inspirational writing.

  3. That yellow flower seemed to jump right off the screen at me. So beautiful. And wouldn’t it be wonderful to be like little children and always be able to enjoy each moment without the intrusion of worry about what tomorrow might bring. I appreciate the inspiration your site always brings me. Thank you.

    1. Thank you, Becky, for the nomination. I appreciate your encouragement. I no longer participate in awards – but I can definitely understand why you deserve an award. Blessings!

      1. Oh I certainly understand! I still think you are pretty awesome 🙂 Thank YOU for your encouraging words and kindness that you have shown to me! I appreciate you and your blog!

  4. Paradise Valley is aptly named! Oh, to look at the world through a child’s eyes. What a gift that magical time is…and one we can revisit in times of quiet and obviously when visiting Paradise Valley! 🙂

    1. It’s no wonder that grandchildren are such treasures, since they bring a fresh perspective to aging minds. I live with teens, and so I see the in between world through their words.

Thank you for your visit. 🙂 I enjoyed visiting your site.

      1. Thanks, Wendy. I’m delighted to have found your blog as well. I beiieve us to be very like minded in our love of the Creator and all that He has made. I’m looking forward to visiting your blog again and again. Blessings, Natalie

    1. I read a reply you wrote to Wendy and was quite taken with these words: “Some flowers bloom without our aid as sacred elegance in the wild Their seeds cast by nature’s hand with the simplicity of a child ~ No fanfare or grand scheme designed just a flight on wings and wind as capsules of potential descend upon the earth who takes them in ~ […]” Would you give me the link to your blog? I’d love to visit it. Blessings, Natalie
