Your Reflection
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
How does your Spirit
fit inside
this tiny heart of mine
when You are omnipresent
without borders
without time?
How does your Spirit
flow to fill
every single soul
that’s put their trust
in your Son
and yet
remaining whole?
Is my heart
a water droplet
small
but mirror-like inside
so that your
completeness is carried
and then reflected
visible from
outside?
Wendy/2013
I’m glad for the mysteries that I do not understand. It makes life as a grand library full of good books I have yet to read. As soon as we stop learning, or we think we have all the answers, then we have ceased growing and truly living.
Spiritual Growth Blessings ~ Wendy
Do you like good mysteries that have a true-hearted Hero and a happy ending? I sure do!
Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,
And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.
Ephesians 1:13 & 2:22
I love that droplet of water, and even more the mystery of our tiny, shabby hearts containing the Holy Spirit. Only God!! Blessings, friend–Alison
Alison, I agree that there is no one like God. He loves, cleanses, and fills us – all by His grace.
Love the idea of God’s Spirit operating without borders – a new tweak on the omniscient theme for me. I spent a long time yesterday trying to capture some icicles dripping – it takes a steady hand! 🙂
Melody, it boggles my mind that He can see, hear, and speak in an infinite number of places at once. We strive for a steady hand to take a picture and yet He says ‘Let there be light,’ and it is done – and is very good!
I agree with you Wendy. I’ve never been one who has majored on certainties. Give me mystery any time. Far prefer liv ing with mystery than with certainties. Loved the post.
Wendy, this is the best and most beautiful poem I’ve read in a very long time–may I print out a copy, just for my personal file? I, too, have much more peace about God’s mysteries, than ever before–I wasted so much energy and frustration when I was younger! Now I just want to take in His love for me, and love Him back. God bless you abundantly today and always–love, sis Caddo
Wow, Caddo! You are more than welcome to use it. Hugs! This past year I have become more aware than ever of how little I really know. Yes, I’ve learned so much – but He is so vast that it is impossible to even scratch the surface of Him. The Bible says a lot and also raises as many questions as it answers. Thankfully, He has preserved the essentials of Christian doctrine for us to hold firm too. The rest is debatable.
