I enjoy reading and writing inspirational memoir. Kathy is a blogging friend of mine who has written a poignant memoir, Ever Faithful to His Lead , and I’ll be reading it next from my T.B.R. pile of Kindle books.

Be sure to let Kathy know I sent you over. She’s a warm and wonderful hostess.

When anxiety was great within me,

your consolation brought joy to my soul.

I know where to go

For only God gives joy to the heart

And solace for my soul.

  1. Wendy, I always love to see and read from your perspective on life and faith. You really are an inspiration to me. I wasn’t a writer but through my struggle I found that journaling helped me process what was happening to me. My journal listened when I was too afraid to reveal my inner most anxieties to anyone else. Keeping my journal helped me lean into my struggle and find value in what had changed in me because of it. From that journal came my memoir. Writing the book was healing for me and has in a sense revealed God’s calling in my life. I can’t wait to read your story.

    1. Thank you for commenting, Gene. I noticed her blog automatically places comments in moderation first. I can relate to your words: “My journal listened when I was too afraid to reveal my inner most anxieties to anyone else.” I consider my journal a sanity saver and a prayer maker. When I don’t know what to pray, writing out my jumbled thoughts helps me formulate one. Those are often the most powerful prayers–the ones I see miraculously answered. As you already know, I loved your memoir. You wrote honestly–poignantly. I’ll be waiting in line when you have a new one ready. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Sriram. I’ve enjoyed every one of your posts over the past five years. Your photography is amazing, and you always pair it with exquisite quotes. 🙂

  2. Well, I love what I read already here! And this is so timely for me! Bless you and thank you! Going to go read more now . . .

    1. Bill, that’s the same feeling I hope is granted to readers if or when I publish a book. My goal is to invite the Spirit to write, edit, and revise my manuscripts alongside me. He’s the Hero of the best stories ever written. 🙂
