June is for weddings and for flowers
honeymoons and bridal showers
romantic picnics outside
walks along ocean’s tide

Queen of the garden
fragrant gift

Come Stand by Me
******************
Come stand by me
not as a perfect chorus
or as one who sings to please
It is simply you
your presence I desire to be
A gentle lingering
song
whispered between us two
~
Come stand by me
just as you are
and all that you will be
our loneliness undone
as friends and companions to see
together facing
all
that our future will have sung
~
Come stand by me
our voices full or not
bound as one – yet free
For it’s your heart’s song I long to hear
joined with warm tones in me
love’s lyrics that we belong
us
forever near.
