Still blooming

Though…

in His eyes –

you’re still sublime

While others

are faded and fallen,

you remain steadfast and stoic

deftly delivering

drops of mercy

Though disheveled

I still revel

in your beauty

A surface surpassing charm

remaining calm

through autumn storms

Refusing to submit

to harm.

On a recent Saturday morning, while I was opening the driveway gate for my husband, I noticed this flower about to release a drop of pooled rain. I got it just in time. (And I got the gate, too!)  God’s mercy drops are new every morning, and always just in time.
