Flowers give serenity a face and a fragrance.

The Poet:
Words to a poet
are like flowers
to a florist
Arranging them
in a beautiful way
To speak secrets
only the brave
dare to say.

Detours aren’t meant to distress us,
they’re meant to test us.

The Crocus:
May we be as
brave and bold
to grow
as the crocus
who has endured
both cold and snow

It’s not in the rush, but in the hush, we hear Him speak.

A writer is someone who has learned to listen
and dip their pen deep into thoughts evoked.

No matter how messy things get,
God’s love message is waiting in
the middle of it.

Gratitude is a good rope to grab onto
when we’re tempted to sink under our trials.

When we surrender to God, He surrounds us with serenity.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear,
but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Oh I especially love the “Not in the rush but in the hush!” Blessings Wendy. Thanks for taking the time to put these together
Thank you, Pastor Pete. One thing I like about trials is that they slow us down and help us listen to the Holy Spirit better.
Beautiful, Wendy. And so true. I love arranging words. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you, dear Gail. Loving words is a prerequisite to being a writer–for sure. 🙂
I needed this today. Thank you, Wendy!
Thank you for letting me know, dear Norma. I love listening to “Write From the Deep” podcasts because Karen and Erin always post exactly what I need. I look forward to listening to their latest one later today. Here’s the link: https://www.writefromthedeep.com/write-from-the-deep-podcast/

Yes, absolutely 🙂 one of the best part of reading!
What beautiful gems you have shared with us today! Thank you for blessing us!
Thank you, dear Debbie. Hanging out with online writers is like putting our words in a rock-tumbler–we polish each other and end up with a few gems to share. Much of this post is the result of these conversations. xo
“When a poet is still, God fills her quill.” This one is my favourite. 🙂
Thank you, dear friend. 🙂 He is faithful to fill us with His peace and power each and every time we come into His presence with songs of thanksgiving and praise.
Wow, great shots!!! Nice poet too!!!
Thank you, Rexlin. Blessings on your weekend, dear friend. 🙂
Some lovely verses and thoughts, Wendy. Tranquil and calming… your photos are stunning too! Thanks for this beautiful post. Have a wonderful and inspiring week! ⚘ 🙂
Thank you, Iris. “Tranquil and calming” is now I feel about your posts, dear poet friends. <3

A beautiful post, Wendy. I am reminded of a hymn I learned as a child which has always been my favorite. “This Is My Father’s World”. I don’t remember who wrote it, but they were attuned to nature.
Dear Lavinia, thank you for the lovely compliment. That hymn was the first one I taught to my children. We sang it a lot together during our homeschooling days. Sweet memory. <3
I love all these beautiful pictures and reminders of God’s faithfulness. Oh, how we see it time after time. <3
Thank you, dear Shelli. <3 I'm glad God is a faithful God, and what a blessing we will know Him and be known by Him forever.
