Come with Me to a Quiet Place

Come Away with Me to a Quiet Place Wendy L. Macdonald

When I saw the prompt “with,” I immediately thought of the #verseoftheday I picked out during my quiet time.

It begins with: Come with me.

Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place

and get some rest.

Mark 6:31 NIV

I don’t want to walk this life alone. It’s scary. It’s hard. I’m glad I always have someone walking with me: Jesus. Christmas is about the One who will always be with us and will never leave us.

Emmanuel means: God with us.

With is a wonderful word.

When I wrote my poem for the day, I looked back and noticed the word with was written five times. Yes, I love believing He is with me every step of this life.
I am praying for many others to walk with Him too. I’m praying they’ll also come away with Jesus to a place of rest and restoration. My quiet time is my refuge of serenity. No matter how hard a week is, it’s easier to endure when I’ve come away with Jesus for a few minutes each day.

COME WITH ME
Are you weary with worry?
Come find a quiet place
And meet with the Good Teacher
Who showers His students with grace
Are you tense with trials?
Come find a place of rest
And meet with the Good Teacher
Where you’ll be deeply blessed.
