I’ve recently posted about Trumpeter Swans on my other blog.
Here’s the link if you haven’t seen it already: Calls of the Trumpeter Swans

wonderful!
Thank you, Susan.
I love these swans, they have also just arrived in the Cowichan Valley. Its hard to get close to them though.
I know what you mean. We’re not allowed on their fields, so I have to zoom in from the roadside. Some days they stay too far back in the fields for any photo shoots. The Cowichan Valley is beautiful–we’re blessed to live on this island. 🙂
Gorgeous photo Wendy! <3

Thank you, dear Diana.
It seems many species of birds mate for life, even our little puffin. The Nature of Things had a wonderful show about them recently. Beautiful posts, Wendy. I hope you and your husband don’t have to worry about being apart for a very long time. 💕
Puffins are so adorable. It’s been a long time since I’ve watched The Nature of Things–thanks for the reminder of an iconic Canadian program. I’ve read some of David Suzuki’s nature books to my kids. Long live our husbands. <3 (PS-I finished NaNoWriMo–wasn't the same without you.)
Trumpeter Swans always leave me with such a sense of awe, wonderful photo.
Thank you, Charlie. I was out watching them in the rain today. They’re as resilient as the ducks. 🙂
So beautiful. Thanks for taking the time to get a great shot and for sharing
Thank you, Pastor Pete. The field is starting to look like Swan Lake with all the rain we’re getting. 🙂
This place you speak of seems like a magical place found in a really good book.
Yes, Brad, Trumpeter swans definitely make me think of a heavenly place described in the Good Book. 🙂
Amazing picture and writing! Nature with its moods is still the most exciting thing known to us!
Beautiful photos Wendy as always.
Thank you, dear Kath. I love watching the swans. Merry Christmas.
Great thuinking and beautiful swans.
Sorry must be thinking.
