Forever by Faith
**********************
Am I a leaf upon a tree
or just some driftwood in the sea?
Am I a flower soon to fade
or just a cloud that blows away?
~
For if my life has value here
teach me Father what is dear
Do I hold onto jewels and gold
or is there more than I’ve been told?
~
Is life a school and testing ground
until much wisdom has been found?
Or is it love that I must know
to reach the pinnacle of growth?
~
Is the answer found in your Word
where You esteem even a bird
or on a cross at Calvary
where Jesus set the sinner free?
~
Should I believe a perfect God
could love sinners–it does seem odd?
Your Love’s much deeper than the sea
that You would save a wretch like me
~
What must I do with this good news?
Should I tell all your Son’s the Truth?
For we’re grass springing up today
quick to wither and pass away
~
Though our Lord died upon a tree
He rose from the dead bodily
And He’ll return to claim his own
immortals to be taken Home.

I was raised in a family that didn’t talk about spiritual matters.
~
~
God worked through various people outside of my family
to quicken my heart spiritually.
~
~
Do you ever think about what will happen after you fade from this earth?
~
~
Death is our biggest denial.
~
~
I took these pictures at Filberg Park in Comox earlier this month.
~
~
My husband and I went in the morning before it was too hot outside.
~
~
There were so many lovely flowers,
and the bees were in a good mood.
(We were too.)
~
~
The Filberg estate was donated as a park
by the original owner when he passed from this earth.
~
~
I often wonder what the gardens in Heaven will look like–do you?

Inspirational Blessings ❀ Wendy

All men are like grass,
and all their glory is like the
flowers of the field;
the grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of the Lord stands
forever.

Lovely words and pictures as always, Wendy.
Thank you, Sue. I’d love to take pictures of the beautiful scenery in your country.
If you ever get over here, Wendy, you would absolutely love it… especially in spring
Green’s my favorite color… ❀ I’ll keep that in mind.
England in late spring is a very beautiful place .. and as green as you can imagine 🙂
“Sigh”…..there is a reason your blog is one of my absolute favorites and why I smile every time I see you have posted ~ this post is a prime example of that reason. Thank you, Beautiful Wendy.
Skye, I feel the same about your posts. Thank you so much. We both love creation and its Creator. ❀
Thank you, Sweet Friend. Needed that today! 🙂
I’ve read several times recently that it’s our doubt that drives us to do even better. Apparently this is a good thing for writers too. Nice to know I’m not alone. Hugs. ❀
So beautiful, sis 🙂 really love it all. Many blessings to you.
Thank you, dear Karina. ❀
Wendy: “Forever by Faith is a good poem. Your photographs from the Filberg Estate are excellent. I especially like the long shot of the tree trunks with vines. Thank you for your inspiration, again and again.
Thank you, Richard, for both your encouragement and your own wonderful G-3 posts. I’m always glad to see your poems and pictures. ❀
Thank you, dear Christine. ❀
A beautiful post, truly. Thank you with many blessings to you.
Thank you, Kim. I look forward to reading your latest when I’m back on here later. ❀ Blessings.
Thank you. Just about ready to push that button! Short and sweet this time.
Kim, I love both your recent posts–you have a lovely heart.❀
Kindness from you; so appreciate your words Wendy. 🙂
Even I also wait for The Lord to bring me home Yoshiko
>
Amen. Thank you, Yoshiko. ❀
Welcome, Wendy 🙂
Beautiful Wendy, all of it. The photos are stunning. I dont often think about death these days, Im too busy living and I believe love is they key, for all creatures on earth. So as long as I believe and practice this then my wavering faith which is interspersed with much doubt can keep hovering until I feel an answer (if I ever do) Love and blessings x
Christine, we can rest in the knowledge that our faith only needs to be the size of a mustard seed. I doubt that anyone has never wavered in their faith. My favorite bible story is the one where one of the thieves hanging near the cross that Christ hung on asked to be remembered in Paradise. Jesus didn’t ask to see if he was a member of a church etc. He just answered with the promise that the repentant thief would surely be with him that very day. It’s all about God’s Grace. I love this about Jesus. ❀
Wonderful images and beautiful words! 🙂
Thank you. I can only imagine what you would be able to do at this park with your talent and equipment. I’m honored by your words. ❀
Superb photography, such beautiful photos! Wendy, your testimony is also very inspiring. It’s wonderful to be reminded that “the Word of the Lord stands forever.” Love, Iris.
Iris, I find it such a comfort in this ever-changing world that God never changes. He’s rock solid in love and faithfulness. Thank you for your lovely presence here. ❀
Brilliant!
Thank you, dear Jean. ❀
Gorgeous photos and equally inspiring thoughts. As always.
Thank you, Ellen. Blessings to you both this weekend. ❀
And to you both as well. What a beautiful and spiritual couple you must be.

Ellen, I think it’s the desire to grow that counts the most (however much we fail). xo
What a lovely walk through that garden. I felt like I was there. Thank you for the eyes you have for His loveliness.
Thank you, Susan. We just have a glimpse of His beauty here to behold. ❀
Breathtaking post, Wendy! Your photos are magical, and your words inspired.
I have often wondered what comes after death. Will I see my parents? Will I have a purpose in the afterlife as I feel I do in this one? Heaven would be wonderful if it could be the way I imagine and hope for.
Thank you, Jennifer. ❀ The bible says that no eye has seen nor ear has heard what God has prepared for those that love Him. I’m thinking that Heaven must be too awesome to imagine. My favorite blogpost ever about heaven is one that Bill wrote. Heres the link. He has ALS and is able to do posts with a computer that tracks his eye movement. I adore his blog.

Thank you, I just read it, and am now following. My Dad died of ALS.
♡ Hugs.
Thank you for taking us with you, to this special park . .and to Jesus. 🙂 I was raised in a family that didn’t talk about spiritual matters either. 🙂 But God ! I don’t usually think about after I die, but you sharing about the owner of this park donating it after he passed away really touched me. What a beautiful thing to do! God bless you and yours, dear Wendy!
Thank you, Debbie. I love the phrase, ‘But God’. He can do so much more than we can even dream up. Blessings to you three. ❀
Loved the poem! And as usual great photos! Loved all the bees and we must do what we can to save those little guys. I know the Lord loves you for all the ways that you honor Him! Love and hugs, Natalie 🙂
Thank you, Natalie. ❀ I agree that we must be more careful about the bees. The use of toxic sprays is just plain stupid. xo
Beautifully stunning photos and verse Wendy. Thankyou.
Thank you, Cheryl. ❀
I think you had some divine inspiration for these photos, Wendy. Really heavenly. Death has seemed quite close recently. Two lovely bloggers have died within a few days of each other. 🙁
I’m so sorry to hear that. The blogging community is like a family and so it really hurts when someone leaves for any reason. Gentle hugs.
Great gospel gold in word and photos! Thank you for sharing, Wendy! Blessings ~ Laura
Thank you, dear Laura. Blessings on your weekend. ❀
🙂
Stunning post images and words Wendy. I know how precious life is and my father use to remind us. He would say today is the first day of the rest of your life, live it like its your last.
Thank you, Kath. Your dad sounds wise. We just never know when our last day will come. I always remember the last conversation I’ve had with someone, and I treasure it. ❀
I love the mix of nature and your words.. Seems like directly experiencing God is something not everyone takes the time to do. This is beautiful and inspiring as always. Thank you. <3 Laurie
Thank you, Laurie. I like what you said. It does take stillness to hear both ourselves and our Creator. Busyness has become a disease. I love the gentle quietness of your posts–they reach my heart. ❀
🙂 Yes. I think that is part of my offering back to the world. Much love to you. I always feel that quietness when I visit your blog too.
Gorgeous pictures meet beautiful words in Wendy MacDonald’s garden. 🙂
Oh, yes. I wonder — for “wonder” is the new “worship”, my favorite pastime. ~
Thank you, Uncle Tree. May we never lose our sense of wonder. ❀
What a gorgeous nature photo’s.
Thank you so much, Marylou. ❀
Dearest Wendy, this post is you at your most spiritually beautiful. I loved every word and picture.
Mary, what a beautiful comment–thank you. My teen daughter found my poem in a pile of clutter on my desk. She was looking for one to write music to. Later she called me to hear her sing it as a song while she played the music she’d written for it on the piano. When she turned around to see if I liked it, I was crying. So of course I needed to post it after that. I’ve been encouraging her to write her own songs, and she has done two now. ❀
Well I’m glad I eventually clicked here! Your blog is beautiful! I love it. :))))))))))
Thank you, Laura. I’m over at your blog admiring your photography at this very moment. ❀
lol thank you!
Oh how beautiful Wendy! Love your flowers pictures the best. Especially the poppies! Just gorgeous.
Thank you, Linda. I love poppies because they remind me of my grandmother’s garden. We grow them too. ❀
There is so much beauty down here on earth, I just can’t imagine how gorgeous it will be in heaven someday. You always show us so much of God’s beauty.
Thank you, Laurie. I’m coming over to your blog to see what you’ve been up to. You certainly live in a beautiful place, and I always enjoy your photography. ❀
