A Path of Peace
**********************
Sometimes the path ahead seems clear
Yet other times it’s a blur
Faith marks out the parameters
but sometimes it’s details I’d prefer
~
So I seek to walk the balanced way
and move forward one day at a time
Seeking Divine wisdom as I go
and in this method His peace I find
~
Now as I ponder the way it is
that I must walk close by His side
my heart swells with the thought of Love
that counts His followers as His bride.

Our family went for an evening walk together here in Comox.
Our oldest stayed home as he wanted to do some garden work
in the coolness of the day.
Wow!
I’m blessed that he wants to help out with the landscaping.

I wrote this poem for one of my other blogs,
and it reminded me of what I like to post on greenlightlady;
I have decided to share it here instead.
I’ve missed posting here,
but I knew that I needed to take a different path for a spell.

Do you ever wish the path of life came with a GPS?
Or do you prefer unexpected adventures?
I like a mix.

Beautiful, Wendy! x
Thank you, Sue! 🙂
Very atmospheric!
Nature speaks well. 🙂
Love the poem and the photos. It is hard to not take time to praise God when we spend a little time in nature. Blessings!
Shelly, I agree that creation causes us to be worshipful of the Creator. He does all things well. Nice to meet you!
How true your words, Wendy! Your photos are so peaceful as well 🙂
Daisy, I know how you appreciate God’s creation too. You share it well on your blog. xo
Great poem and fine green place
Thank you! I love green.
I was really blessed by this poem today, Wendy (and the beautiful photos)–thank you!! I would SO love a GPS–Yes!! But I realize it might impact the whole idea of “faith”, so I’ll just lean hard into HIM. God bless you BIG. love, sis Cj
You are wise… faith is more precious than gold. xo
Beautiful poem, Wendy! I’d like a GPS that would point me in the right direction, but keep most details to itself and let me discover as I go along. 😉
Sounds like a perfect plan, Camilla. It reminds me of the One I endeavor to follow. Surprises are usually a good spice of life. xo
Beautiful words and photos, Wendy!
Bill, your posts and presence are always a blessing. Thank you!
Beautiful poem! I’m afraid I like knowing the details along the way, but that’s just not an option right now…so hard to rest in Him! Thanks for visiting my blog…
Thank you, Karen! I think resting seems to go against our nature – even though it is so good for us to do. Our flesh and our spirit often battle each other… mine sure do!
Always glad to get a word and “picture” from you.
I have always yearned for details and itinerary. More recently I find that what I taught for years is true, if you are at peace with where you and what you are doing you are already where God wants you to be. Since I am at peace I’ll take that as a divine “Yes”. For now a “Home Sweet Home” mat will do! 🙂
What a wonderful comment you have written! I have learned the hard way, very recently, to be at peace with where I am. Peace rolled in when I finally realized that God is in this life I NOW live. His presence is present in the here and now.
Your part of Canada sure has had a rough time, weather wise, this year… I hope your place came through it okay.
Well, we lost most of our garden.
The corn, sugar beets and some beans are severely damaged, the tomatoes show stress, but the hay is good! I saw a big field of scallions this week which looked good, too.
Oh my goodness, these shots are gorgeous and the poem is excellent and so fitting. I really love, love love that tree in the second picture. 🙂
Thank you, Elizabeth, for sharing my enthusiasm for that artistic tree. It stopped me in my tracks; I had to run to catch up to everyone after I’d taken pictures of it.
A very lovely photo and poem! I like the greens in the first photo. The blue-green of the trees, with the lighter, yellow-green of the ground vegetation. Thank you for sharing this restful post.
God bless you and yours! 🙂 Beth
Thank you, Beth! I am glad that you found it restful, as that was how I wanted it to be. Jesus is our rest. Blessings to you also. 🙂
I’ve missed your posts, and am so glad you are sharing again here! I was talking with L today as we drove in the car about trusting God when we aren’t sure why things are the way they are. He has been struggling with our family’s move, but I am trying to listen, help, encourage, pray, and guide. We can’t see all the details, but we have seen and still see enough of our Father to know He is good and that He loves us. I pray that my dear son will keep seeking and finding that path of peace! Blessings–Alison
I suspect that listening is probably the most helpful thing you are doing to help your dear son. Males tend to want our listening heart more than our words. Your godly life is speaking volumes to him already. Keep up the good work/walk, dear friend.
With my oldest son I am trying to follow this pattern; it’s so hard not to try and jump in and attempt to fix what I truly cannot. But we know the Maker of the mountains we can’t climb, and our actions point to Him. Let’s continue praying and pointing. Good work, Alison!
I wondered where you’d got to 🙂 You’ve been missed.
Thank you, Lyn! Kind words are the flowers of any language.
I love photos of paths which lead into the distance 🙂
They always capture my attention too. 🙂

Yes, we have missed you here. Wendy, I feel like you wrote that poem just for me♥ Yes, I want details Lord…but I must be patient and wait.

Beautiful words and images, dear Wendy. A breath of fresh air for my day. Bless you, dear friend. PS My WordPress appears to be working again, but I’m not sure if the comments are getting through because they just disappear from the screen. ♥
My silly blog put your comment in spam. Good thing I check it regularly. It had put in someone elses too. I am so glad to be able to see your posts again, Isabella Rose. xo
I dont think my problems are over yet with WordPress. Although most things are working again, the majority of my comments today have gone into others spam folders!! Lovely to be in touch again.
Would you believe this one also went into spam? I had this happen to me for a few days last winter. It was so lonely not being able to communicate normally. Hugs!
wow!!!
Thank you, Gracie.
So beautiful, Wendy… both the poem and the photos. So moving, and I love the adventure, but it’s also very good to know God’s boundaries, and the ones that He’s placed around me too.
Many blessings, my friend!
Love,
Cheryl
I agree, Cheryl, that his boundaries are good – very good! Some of the examples in the Bible of what happens when we ignore them are always motivating to keep in mind.
Warm wishes ~ Wendy xo
it should go through the hearts of every human being…the path of peace.,,:)
Indeed, it may, if all would choose. Thank you for your comment. 🙂
yuppp you are right n most welcome..:)
my pleasure..:-)
Lovely photos – as always, Wendy 🙂
I don’t use GPS – not even when driving in strange countries. Yes, I like to get lost and find my way back. With GPS, much escapes the eyes, I reckon.
And you know what I mean 🙂
Peace,
Eric
Yes, Eric, I know what you mean; we can miss so much when our nose is buried in technology. The miracles of the moment don’t wait for the unobservant traveler.
Nothing so soothing as the green of the woods.
I agree. He makes all things beautiful…
Wendy, meaningful poems and photos reflecting God’s creation. Thank you for sharing.
