Dressed in White

In the winter time
my garden dresses in white –
I do in summer.

The reflection in our garage window is my summer, garden, play/work clothes drying on the line. I love my garden!
What is your favorite hobby?
Hobby Blessings ~ Wendy
When my garden or I am dressed in white, I am reminded of the following verse:
“Come now, let us reason together,”
says the Lord.
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be white as snow;
though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool.”
Isaiah 1:18 NIV
Thank you, Jesus, for washing me white as snow!
I just left a small farm behind when our family moved here a few months ago. I had a humongous vegetable garden, and several flower gardens. I absolutely loved nature-therapy, me and the worms and the birds and the dirt…..but it’s winter now, and I have a new yard with a different climate , so it might take me awhile to figure out what I can plant successfully in our short season, plus I’m stubborn – so I like to push the boundaries in zones a bit in terms of what I attempt to grow.
I hope you find some pleasant surprises and hospitable mini micro-climates in your new garden. We, too, moved to town from an acreage, and it’s been an adventure of discovery for the last three years…

What lovely surroundings, Wendy!!
I’d love to have you over for a garden tour and visit in the summer, Caddo! Hugs!

You have a beautiful garden, Wendy 🙂
Thank you. It is a joy to garden!

Mine it tiny… but there is always something to give a smile 🙂
I agree that even a balcony garden can give joy!
I used to just have a set of stone steps and a windowsill.. jam packed with herbs, fruit and flowers. It doesn’t take much 🙂
Our snow just melted in a thaw, and now we see hyacinths, snowdrops and crocus peeking up through the dirt. It’s only Jan. 17, little botans (short for “botanical entities)! Lovely garden you have, and I am drawn to your wonderful pathway…
I like “little botans”. Ours are having their mulch covering removed by birds foraging… The path is made using broken concrete I salvaged with help from the guys… Thank you for noticing it – I’ve been planting flowering ground cover between them. Let me know when your snowdrops bloom, and we’ll compare timing as we have them too. I can’t wait to take pictures of spring flowers.

I just love that haiku, Wendy, and how you showed it in the pictures! You are such an artist . .always giving us something beautiful to reflect on. Thank you and God bless you!
Thank you, Debbie. I originally did not want to capture the garden clothes in the picture and then thought better of it. Sure enough the photo came in handy…

Wendy, such a lovely garden photo – I love the way you combine the beauty and life of God’s Word with the beauty and life of His creation! Blessings ~ Marsha
Thank you, Marsha! I appreciate your kind words. It is such a gift to have a place to garden.

I love all of this – the photos, the poetry and the connection with Isiah 1. Beautiful, Wendy!
Thank you, Debbie! I loved your post about true beauty…

Evening dear Wendy-Lee! 🙂 What beautiful shots. I love reading like you do and I collect clowns and all sorts of different ornaments. I have a room that I keep them all in and my computer desk is in there. I love being in there surrounded by all the things I love and just writing away. Apart from my clown room upstairs..the rest of the house is very different. So I go and hide in my play room! Lol …..Hugs Paula xx
Your computer room sounds cozy and cheery! Hugs! Any chance you’ll post a photo of your clown collection on your blog, Paulama? 🙂 I have more buttons in my collection than a fabric store has… I make things with them.

Hahaha! Actually on my blog there’s a photo of my clown room….it now has a great deal more though! Lol xx
I’ll go look for it… xo
BTW: Please don’t feel offended by the post I just wrote for Seasons Of Insanity! I just re-blogged it, to my blog! Just having a bit of fun…
Hugs xx.
You are a sweetie-cake! Now you’ve got me curious… as long as my filter lets me see a blog I can deal with it. Be you and don’t worry about what I think. I got enough work watching my own walk. 😉 Hugs!
It looks really beautiful, Wendy.
Thank you, Michelle! I love being outside…
