Caddo invited her readers to do a seven word poem on her comments recently and the first line of this poem was mine (It’s been slightly altered) .  Thank you for being such an inspirational big Sis, Caddo!

I hope you, my reading friends, will enjoy visiting my poet friend.  I know I sure do!

  1. Wendy,

I enjoyed your poem on some of the different ministries that the Lord has and will perform on our behalf. What a blessing it is to know that He is working in such varied ways to meet our every need and bless us in every possible way. Lord bless you Wendy. Thanks for a great reminder that will take us into the weekend!

    1. You are welcome through my gate anytime, Melody! The owner of this summer garden has a winter cold… sniffle! I’m glad you can’t catch it through the blog. 🙂

      1. Yuck. I’m coming off a nasty sinus/chest cold, so I won’t breathe too hard in your direction! (And I definitely won’t inhale, either! ) 🙂

  2. I am longing to rest in Jesus today. Instead, I feel restless, agitated, edgy, rushed, and tired all at once. I have the sweet little girl all to myself today, but I fear she hasn’t seen the best mommy. I just gave myself a time out while she plays in her room–since she won’t nap today. I pray, I breathe, I lean on the One who can calm my heart! What a gnarled up mess today! Your poem was like a pleasant breeze! –Alison

    1. I’ve been there… It’s a wise woman who knows when it’s mommy who needs a time out! I have locked myself in the bathroom to cool off when needed. When we have blown it – it’s the perfect opportunity to model apologizing. Kids are so forgiving because our normal days have shown them we love them. My kids and I laugh over some of my mistakes in parenting now. It’s a tough job when you’re having an intense day without a coffee break in sight. I adored nap times so I could regroup. Hang in there, Alison – you are a good mom! Hugs.

      1. Thank you! I went back in the room, held her on my lap, and she fell asleep within minutes. I guess we both needed some cozy rest. I told her earlier I was sorry and that I had gone out in the hall to be quiet, read, and pray. I want her to know how much we all need Jesus, every hour!

    1. Thank you, Lori, for thinking of me! Congratulations on your nomination! I don’t do awards anymore, but I will post a thank you post, soon, to those who have nominated me recently. 🙂

  3. I love ALL of it, and not just because of your lovely compliment. Beautiful post–words and photos. I, too, love the Key image–it’s just so pivotal in life, in our hearts, in our Walk with Him. God bless you, little sis–big sis Caddo

    1. Thank you dear Caddo! You inspire me so much with your poetry. Between following you, Debbie, Melody, and other poets – I feel like I’m in a high ranking poetry university program! Guess who the President of the university is? Yes, the Lord himself!

Blessings to you sweet Caddo ~ Wendy xo
