Christmas Mini-Lights
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elegantly dressed for Christmas
in sparkle attire no less
and without any carbon footprint
proving nature’s wardrobe is best
Crystalline lighting on evergreens
twinkling nonstop ’til sundown
while using only solar power
yet still the loveliest in town!
PS – I may need to change my blog to dropletlady! 😉
Change your name to lovelypoetlady. Awesome pics.
Ian, you’re too sweet, and I’m happy to be spending another Christmas with you! xo
Beautiful words and perfect images. Thank you. Nice to meet your husband too. For a minute I thought someone was chatting you up, until you mentioned spending Christmas with him!! It’s lovely to see you so happy together. Bless you.
Thanks so much, Lizzie! Macro photography is one of his favorites to view. He is my biggest fan! ( 6′ 2” ) 😉 After 29 years he still chats me up and makes our kids roll their eyes..! There’s lots of laughter in this house…
We don’t stay mad long in our home – just crazy.
Blessing dear friend ~ Wendy xo
Very nice. I like how each droplet has ‘crystals’ inside.
Thank you, Steve! I am thankful for eyes to see the jewels that He has placed in creation.
Our Creator is the originator of beauty!
We will probably never have icicles or snow where I live, but I put a fleece hat on my little girl this morning. Our blood is thin from living in south Florida!
Enjoy these days leading up to Christmas. I am reveling in the hope of Christ more than ever and praying for more of those around me to see the beauty of his birth! What kind words from your husband. It is good for children to know not only that their parents love each other, but also that their parents are in love!
Blessings–Alison
Marriage is God’s design to give children a safe and secure place to grow in their knowledge of him and his love. It is by His grace and power that we’ve been able to provide this, most of the time 😉 – kids need to see parents respectfully disagree and make up too!
Thank you so much, Alison, for your kind and encouraging visits!
very delicate.
Thank you! Yes, much like fine antique Christmas tree decorations.
Oh I LOVE this, Wendy–they really DO look like mini-lights! I’m curious how long you’ll be on “break”, and if you have specific plans (that you can share)–I will truly miss you!! God bless you and your family abundantly–love, sis Caddo
Thank you, Caddo! I’m going to take Mon. thru Fri. off this week for starters. My husband laughed as he thinks I won’t make it… but I need to finish his birthday present for next weekend… 😉 I will miss you too! Your poetry never ceases to amaze me. The kids are not back to music lessons until after New Year so I don’t know when I’ll get a chance to write poems in silence… Maybe I should go park somewhere by myself? 😉 I am posting my last one before Christmas – tomorrow.
Blessings dear Caddo ~ Wendy xo
PS – It is snowing again today… I’m so glad my hubby is good at driving in the snow…I am scared to! Hugs!
good read and great photos too! God bless and Merry Christmas!
Thank you! Merry Christmas!
Love these, Wendy! After the holidays, I look forward to going through your blog with a cup of tea and some time.
A very Happy Christmas to you!
I love your droplet images!!!! You told me your daughter was in Awana’s? Mine was in awana’s too…just 22 years ago☺Merry Christmas.
Laurie
Yes, my daughter was in it for four years and I’ve put in 5 as a leader. Last year was her last year. It is a wonderful no-nonsense Bible club since it teaches the essentials of Christian doctrine without getting into the non-essentials… I may volunteer again one day. My kids are teens now. Merry Christmas to you, Laurie, & your family.
It is so great through the blogsphere to make new friends isn’t it?
Laurie
It’s the best part! 🙂
Lovely!
Thank you, Kris! 🙂
Giggling at you changing your name! 🙂 You are SO good at these droplet photos and they inspire such beautiful poems that God drops into your heart and mind. God bless you and yours bunches, with all His Light and love!
I am glad I made you giggle! 🙂 Right now I’m listening to a conversation going on in the same room, I’m in, that’s making me giggle… what a nice gift laughter is! I appreciate the gift of friendship, like yours, too!
Blessings to you, Debbie, and your family ~ Wendy xo
Thank you for the gift of calling me “friend”!
🙂 Hugs!
I love your photography and poetry.
This post I especially enjoy since I too have seen the glistening water droplets on trees as the most exquisite ornaments provided by nature……so no need to try to improve upon that!
Thank you.
Thank you and Merry Christmas! I agree that we cannot improve on nature… 🙂
Our lovely Wendy,
Another selection of the most beautiful photos and messages. Your deep sense of spiriuality infuses all of your work in such an uplifting way. And – what a nice surprise to meet Ian too. May you both continue to grow in grace and love together.
Thank you, Mary, for both your compliment and your wish for us to continue growing in grace and love. Our three children are in their teen years now, and so the presence of grace has become more crucial than ever – and a sense of humor!
