Corridor of Time

Corridor of Time

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spores settle unseen
in darkened
corridor of time
but later
do grow into visage
of vibrant life
What was death and decay
has now spawned
in replacement
a Living Truth reality
from the Sacrifice
Giving up control
we may have
in this present day
is setting a sure foundation
for a life to come
A structure
of prophesied permanence
residence of the redeemed
for us all
A labor of love
by Cornerstone
already done!
Wendy/2012
As one who loves to garden, I’ve noticed that plants thrive upon the nourishment they derive from other plants sacrifice.  Leaf mold and compost are like a natural vitamin supplement for plants.
When we yield control to our Creator – we add to the spiritual health of ourselves and those around us. Jesus is the Cornerstone of my life.  His sacrifice has paid the debt of all those who trust in him.  He has gone to prepare a permanent home for us.  I await his return with joy!
Out of the Darkness Blessings ~ Wendy
“Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God; trust also in me.  In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I am going there to prepare a place for you.”
John 14:1-2
  1. Hallelujah! Your poem is absolutely beautiful and accurate. And you posted the lovely mushroom pics again, and how well they fit with the topic. What a wonderful gift you have! I have absolutely NO photography skills. 🙂
    Thank you for blessing me today with your poetry and pics.
    Love,
    Cheryl
    1. Thanks, Cheryl! You can probably photograph better than you think. Pick a subject that really interests you and keep trying. That’s what I do…
  2. What a beautiful message for us today, Wendy! Somehow you have me thinking of “out of the darkness into His marvelous light.” 🙂 And those cool mushrooms! They remind me of little houses . .I just love them all! God bless you as you inspire us each day!
    1. Thank you, Debbie! The mushrooms also remind me of little houses. 🙂 There are several little neighborhoods of them in our garden. Today, while working outside, I spotted another mini suburb…
    1. Hi Paula! Hugs to you, too! One of my kids has chosen not to follow the Lord, and I don’t love that child any less for it. 🙂 I cherish your friendship!
  3. This year I have learned to give it all to God. I have learned to ask Him to lead me in all of my ways and actually mean it. Lately I have been thinking about it and here you were able to encourage me through the lovely poem. Thank you God for using Wendy!
    Secondly I used to have a great fear of mushrooms, I’m still not comfortable with them. Your photography is helping me see the beauty in these little things.I call it ” Mushroom Therapy.”
    1. I know what you mean about “fear of mushrooms” as I heard a story of a man who ate one he thought was safe, and then he died. When my children were little, I always got rid of any mushrooms growing around our home… now I can relax and enjoy them!
      My prayer has been that “His will be done in each of our five hearts and lives.” It is such a simple prayer and yet I’ve seen some really powerful progress in our home in tangible ways. Two of our kids have started music lessons this year and the third is learning more drumming techniques off the internet. Music is so good for teenagers. We were not sure we could afford this, but so far we’re doing it and cutting back where we can. Getting a beautiful old free piano helped. It sounds wonderful!
      Blessings to you on your weekend ~ Wendy
    1. Dear Ellen, you’ve inspired a little poem with your kind words:
      Without Jesus
      I’d just be a broken wheelbarrow
      in a tool shed…
      He repairs me
      He fills me
      and
      He moves me.
      1. Yes, we are mere vessels for His word and so very blessed to be so. Some are better channels than others, like yourself. You obviously are pure and clear. I was close once and I believe the psych medications I am on ruined that. But I am working my way back with meditation and Reiki and prayer. Thank you for writing such a beautiful poem in reply!! Namaste, Wendy, Namaste, and God bless you!
