Drenched – Not Benched!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Drenched
Quenched
Almost drowned
Sky’s showers
coming down
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Battered
Splattered
Fully soaked
Cloudy chorus
loudly spoke
OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Showered
Scoured
Newly cleaned
Better than
you’ve ever been!
Wendy/2012
Sometimes we just need a life storm to help us clean out the clutter in our hearts, and focus on what really matters – with a clean slate!
Showers of Blessings ~  Wendy
PS – I figured I ought to share some of the rain we’ve been having… These are photos from earlier this year.
  1. Loving the message here, about those storms and the rain helping us to focus on what matters the most! God bless you as you keep seeing Him in the nature all around you!
    1. Thanks, Debbie! Like you – I can’t help it! I was just writing in response to the picture… it seems like, with me, all of nature leads to Heaven.
      Blessings to you dear friend ~ Wendy
    1. Thanks, Melody! I had the soaked squash blossom in mind as I wrote. They get all dramatic looking after a summer rainstorm! Kinda like me when I run out of an ingredient in the middle of a recipe… 😉
    1. Hi Paula! How’s your day going so far? I’m tuckering out here in Canada as it’s now after 9 pm… I had a good day. The sun came out to play, so I took some more mushroom photos since all the rain we’ve had has caused so many to grow!
      1. I love mushrooms! It’s now 7pm and I just finished cleaning up the dinner dishes. Had a great day with my grandsons and daughter in-law…Christmas shopping! *smiling* They live in our country property so usually I only get to see them on weekends. Really lovely spending time in the city with them! ……..Paula xxx
        1. Paula, your day sounds like it was marvelous! Oh my, I just can’t wait for grandchildren!! Meantime I am loving up my children while they are near enough to hug. 🙂 Have a good sleep, dear friend.
  2. Hi Wendy, I’m sorry I’m so late getting here–I’ve been baking like a crazy woman! These are such lovely photos, and I LOVE the poem–how do you do that, find all those words that go together that way?! Dang good poet, you are, Sister!! God bless you–love, sis Caddo
