Do Color Me

Do Color Me

~~~~~~~~~~~
Do color me red
A color I love
Red apples
Red rose hips
Red sky above
Do color me green
The color of my eyes
Green treetops
Green pastures
Green leaves alive
Do color me blue
The color of the sea
Blue waves
Blue sky
Blue moods that be
Do color me white
A dress with a veil
White wedding
White roses
White train that trails
Do color me purple
A royal garment to wear
Purple robe
Purple ring
Purple everything He’ll share!
PS – So now that this taxi mama has her son in guitar lessons, again, I might as well make use of my waiting time by writing poems.  I can’t believe how fast time flies, when I’m playing with words. Next time I will bring my camera, as two deer walked right past my parked van!
    1. Don’t you just love the sight and scent of a brand new package of crayons? Silly that I am… I bought two new packages at a thrift store recently. Just looking at them inspires me. 😉
    1. Thank you. I was sitting in my van, surrounded by huge maples leaves carpeting the whole acreage of the guitar teacher’s place, as I wrote this… and with no camera!
  1. Beautiful colors and words! I get lost in time when “playing with words”, too. I’m looking forward to doing that a bit this evening, though indoors!
    1. It’s pouring rain so hard and loud outside our home that it sounds like drumming out there right now… I hope you enjoy your writing time. Your writing is always a pleasure to read.
  2. It’s easy to be amazed at the colors in our world!! Especially at this time. I recently helped my daughter move about 8 hours north of where I live and the place she moved to was at its peak season of autumn… Every tree was a different color of fall. Beautiful!!
  3. I love seeing wild life in the city, It happens so rarely. There’s a wild life park in the middle of the city where live, and deer will literally walk right past you. I might have to put that post on my blog, (I have pics).
    1. It is not rare here. Even cougars have been spotted in our area. The presence of so many deer draws them into the city… Today a young eagle was in one of our trees. By the time I got out with my camera – it was gone!
  4. Your words are so colorful and flow wonderfully, you really have a way with words.
    Two deer walked right past your parked van? Oh! I just want to escape from this city life of mine.
  5. This is definitely my new fave of yours, Wendy–I love it (it’s another of the “I wish I’d written that” ones!!). God bless you big–love, Caddo
