in muted

You offer yourself
as an easel

a canvas of colors
till evening
folds
A lesson from you
I need surely
obey
Just submit
to the Painter
as his brushes

We don’t have the pretty leaves, but we do have gorgeous sunsets (and sunrises)! Your pictures are making me want to go to the beach soon–with a camera and a heart full of praise to the Creator of all things! Beautiful pictures and poem. I love getting to sit and read for a few moments while A. is settling down for her nap.
I remember the nap-time days… Sometimes I would go over the pictures I’d taken of them, that day, and then I’d realize I was still in mommy mode and needed to switch hats for a bit. Then I would read, write, or craft.

Thank you, Caddo! I have one left from that day that I will post soon. I was going to delete it and then, of course, I could see a poem in it. My husband is concerned that my laptop is going to get the “blue screen of death” from all the pictures stored on it… So tonight I deleted a bunch. Hopefully more than I added back on from today’s ventures. 😉
