Talking to yourself
I see
Mind if I
listen in
on your sunset
soliloquy?
High clouds
Vibrant hues
Muted tones
Colorful speech
with hidden clues
Streaks of red
Scattered rays
from impurity
of frazzled days
Such magnifying
significance
allowing the Source
of Light to give
your day’s end
magnificence!

The day I took these photos, I had been thinking, during worship service at church, to write a poem about sunsets. We were singing while the words were being projected on a sunset picture. It made me think of how the Lord can create beauty no matter what our day was like… During the day, if we bring before him our clouds, impurities, and fair skies, then his Light shines through us as we submit to his love and grace. I was so excited about the idea: but, being over 50, I promptly forgot! Later; however, on the very same day, this sunset called me outside to the front garden…
