Nature’s Scroll

Unread words
written
on nature’s scroll
Of Living Water
to tell
and
thirst quenching
to the soul
Poets
transcribe
notes of Author
written in creation’s
language
on autumn parchment
Beaded colony offers
a miniature of globes
A mirror of our galaxy
if we’ll but probe
Just as minute
as these droplets appear
is His view of those
He holds so dear.

Being a parent really opens my eyes more and more to God’s unconditional love. My children can never lose my love, and God is even more faithful than an imperfect earthly dad. I don’t need to earn it… I just need to believe it!

When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him,
the son of man that you care for him?
Psalm 8:3-4
Ooooh I love these pictures, Wendy!! Beautiful! And the poem too!
Thank you, Calee! I’m learning to take advantage of sunlight for macro shots…

Lovely photos and poem, Wendy. I especially love the verse at the end. It is one of my favourites. Thank you.
Thank you, Lizzie! That verse always gives me goosebumps. I love that verse too.

Autumn is awesome!!! This is my favorite season for beautifullness (not a word I made that up) such lovely rich colors, thanks for the reminder.
Thank you, Shazza! I am going to go outside for a few minutes, before we start our homeschooling, and catch some of the beautifullness, while the sun is out…
Blessings ~ Wendy
You are an incredible poet, I’ve loved every one of them I have had opportunity to read
I’ve been writing poems for about 40 years, and you’ve just given me the nicest compliment I’ve ever received about them. Thank you! I try not to post my failed poems or blurry photos…
Blessings ~ Wendy
🙂
I do wonder of your ‘failed’ poems might seem otherwise to someone else?
For me, a failed poem is when it feels forced and is without feeling. Intensity seems to heighten poetry – which is what I like about yours…
Blessings ~ Wendy
So Beautiful, Wendy!!
Thanks, Caddo!

Thank you for the beauty, encouragement and love in this! God bless you and yours!
Thank you, Debbie! Blessings to your family & you!

These images and words were so comforting today. My little A. has been going through a rough spot with tantrums this week. I feel weary and cross when I know I need to be strong and calm. I praise God that He never grows tired or weary, and that he can strengthen me in this and every situation! God’s love is more refreshing than water, so as I look at those drops in your pictures, I hear the reminder to seek Him and never thirst! Soak up his love today! –Alison
He sure is timely with verses. Today I had an unusual and not nice thing happen and the verse the kids and I are memorizing suited it perfectly…
I think you are an awesome mom. It is not an easy job and kids know our buttons too well. Thankfully, they also know how to hug, and they look just like angels when they are asleep.
Blessings ~ Wendy
Thank you for the kind words. Kids definitely know our buttons too well…and I know that how I respond now when they are little will have a big influence on how they respond to me as they grow. Those hugs, and peaceful sleeping faces, help a lot after a long day. The other night, after a big tantrum, I was giving A. a bath, and out of nowhere, she just said, “I’m glad I’m with you.” I couldn’t have asked for a better sentence.
It’s funny how the child who has tested me the most has also said the sweetest things… Hang in there as I know my child has settled down as the years have passed. I always had to give lots of notice of transition times – such as letting that child know ahead of time when we were going somewhere; switching activities; or informing of anything out of schedule happening… It has become second nature to do this. You will find what works for your situation and sanity! 😉
Blessings from one mom to another ~ Wendy
Wendy I’m not religious, but I enjoyed reading your post! If there was a good?…you make him sound wonderful!…Paula x
Thank you, Paula! The more I get to know Him – the more wonderful He is! There is still so much for me to learn. If you ever get curious, try reading the New Testament, and you’ll read about Jesus who was so approachable and compassionate. I would never judge God by his followers – they’re just people. Whereas, Jesus was God in the flesh who dwelt among us. He was cool!

Wow, we are in the same garden and the Lord spoke to both of us! May I add this to my recent post as an attachement? Beautiful. love you
I would be honored if you added anything of mine.
Thank you, Gracie!
