Stand tall
Though others fall
But in your heart remain
humble
For perhaps
the next crash you hear
will be
the echo of your own
tumble!
Kneel down
When others fall
Offer compassion
forgiveness
and
grace
For perhaps the next moment
will be yours
to have egg
on your
face!

Bidding Beware & Blessings ~ Wendy
The moment we think we’re immune to a fall, that’s the moment an arrow spots a gap in our armor!
“Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you may also be tempted.”
Galatians 6:1
Wise words as usual! And nice photos too! 🙂
Experience is a good teacher! 😉

are those photos from 3 different times of day
The first two are from same place and within 15 minutes of each other ( and facing different direction). And the last photo is on a different day, different time, and different place!

some good wisdom i seen it happen to people
We all have our hypocritical moments. I know that I sure do. It is particularly sad when it is a BIG issue in life!

Great words for us this Lord’s Day, Wendy–thank you, and God bless you abundantly this week!!
Blessings back to you, too, dear Caddo!
I always love your visits.

Wendy, I love it. The two things we (humans) struggle with, our own inner demons and the need to be understood and loved. Ego steps in and trips us up repeatedly in that area doesn’t it? Thank you, your poem is beautifully written and wonderfully wise. Take care of you my friend, with great affection, Penny xx
Thank you for your visit, Penny. I have been enjoying those adorable critters you’ve been posting! Hugs!

It is always such a pleasure to visit you. Yes I figured if I post a few simple things to love and share and then follow with something more serious it seems to level things out a bit. Besides I like them myself! 🙂 Blessings in return, Wendy, you are a gracious hostess!
How fitting–our pastor taught from Philippians 2:1-11, how Jesus humbled himself, and what it looks like for us to do the same. Humility does not weaken, but keeps us in our proper posture before God and among our fellow sinners! Humility transforms relationships…it must be a daily prayer to give the pride away in exchange for Christ’s humility! I will have to ponder these things more this week as I’ve heard them twice today! I always enjoy reading your poetry and seeing how the words and pictures complement each other! –Alison
I love how you said that “humility does not weaken…” The most highly educated of all my close friends is also the most humble. She is a delight to be around. It adds to her beauty and strength as a person. When Jesus took the towel and wrapped it around himself and washed his disciple’s feet – He was beautiful!

Well said – a great viewpoint! Love how you saw this lesson in your surroundings…
Poems seem to be written across the scroll of nature. Poets have the opportunity to transcribe them… Oops! Now a poem is coming into my head and I need to go downstairs soon!! I’ll bet you experience this a lot…
Blessings ~ Wendy
Indeed! 🙂 Scribble away!
A great lesson, that should be taken to heart. Nice pics too!
Paulette
Thank you, Paulette. I agree that we should keep it in our hearts. God is gracious and compassionate…

Another wonderful poem to go with your wonderful picture finds. What a blessing you are to bring us these timely messages! Praying to stay humble and full of compassion. It reminds me of that saying, but for the grace of God, there go I. God bless you and all He leads you to!
Oh, yes, how true that saying is for me! Thank you for mentioning it, Debbie. I love good quotes!

Beautiful words! “kneel down, When others fall” – Unfortunately there are people who look with pleasure when others fall. This is a nice reminder to us to be humble and compassionate as bad things can happen to anyone.
I so much agree with “bad things can happen to anyone”… it rains and shines on all!
