Holding On

Holding On

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Holding on
to things that have faded?
Perhaps it’s time
to let go
Why adhere to the past?
Turn the pages
This season
is over
It was not meant
to last
Submit to the moment
For His plans
will give you
a new tomorrow
And you’ll prosper
as hope will sound
from your sorrow
just as a fallen leaf
adds life
to the ground.
Wendy/2012
This week when I dropped our son off for his hike, I noticed this maple leaf clinging onto a tree for dear life.  It is often in letting go that real life begins.
  1. Thank you for helping me remember to listen to God through creation…and that verse from Jeremiah sits right near my kitchen sink to remind me of God’s great plans! He has never let me down!
    1. I love that verse, too. Sometimes I wonder what He’s up to; however, when I look back, I see that He used a circumstance for good. Thank you for your visit!
  2. As always, the trick is in having the wisdom to let go of the right things, at the right time! We can’t embrace the new gifts flowing in when our hands and laps are full of the old dreams… beautiful leaf shot.
