The Painter

Stretching and reaching

charcoal branches

come to life

Meanwhile

underground

roots part the earth

like a knife

Painted leaves

airborne

falling…

littering the ground

Like an Artist

splattering paint

in His studio

all around

Satisfied…

He drapes limbs

with white

covering

Concealed from gaze

hibernating

until…

Gallery Open House!

When Sun’s rays

enlighten

Burning off

winter’s haze.

I often think of creation as God’s art.  Do you think He is still painting up a storm for a very special upcoming Gallery Open House?  I do!  There’s going to be a banquet too.  We’re all invited.  Oh do say, “Yes!”

PS – If you haven’t read your Bible in a while… open it up to the Gospel of John and start reading.  It’s good for your soul.

  1. My husband and I were talking last night about the hope we have in Jesus as we face so many big goings-on in the world. There are many around us who we pray will have open eyes and open hearts to taste and see that goodness! Thanks again for these tastes of fall–this evening all four of us walked a bit after dinner and it was the coolest, driest weather we had felt in months–high 70’s, I’m guessing. Beautiful.

    1. Your weather sounds ideal! It is cool and damp here, today; the boys picked some more apples for us and I made cookies. These are the good old days; and I am thankful for them. My husband prayed a similar prayer, this morning, to what you just mentioned. I feel grateful for faith to face each day. We never know what is around the corner: I just know that I don’t want to face it alone.
