Stretching and reaching
charcoal branches
come to life
Meanwhile
underground
roots part the earth
like a knife
Painted leaves
airborne
falling…
littering the ground
Like an Artist
splattering paint
in His studio
all around
Satisfied…
He drapes limbs
with white
covering
Concealed from gaze
hibernating
until…
Gallery Open House!
When Sun’s rays
enlighten
Burning off
winter’s haze.

I often think of creation as God’s art. Do you think He is still painting up a storm for a very special upcoming Gallery Open House? I do! There’s going to be a banquet too. We’re all invited. Oh do say, “Yes!”

PS – If you haven’t read your Bible in a while… open it up to the Gospel of John and start reading. It’s good for your soul.
Beautiful images of fall!
Thank you!

I say Yes Yes Yes! 🙂
Me too!

I LOVE thinking of God as a paint artist, Wendy–and yes, can’t wait for the gallery opening and banquet!!! See you there!
By His grace, I plan to be there with you… and no more Mondays! 😉

I see that God has captured your heart with his colourful seasonal gift to you.
I admit, I am now a fan of autumn… but I so much look forward to spring! 🙂

Just saw this quote and thought of you: ““Autumn is a second Spring, where every leaf is a flower.” Albert Camus. I like Spring, too. Blessings.
Wow! I love that quote. Thank you. May I use it in a future post?

By all means. Glad you liked it.
My husband and I were talking last night about the hope we have in Jesus as we face so many big goings-on in the world. There are many around us who we pray will have open eyes and open hearts to taste and see that goodness! Thanks again for these tastes of fall–this evening all four of us walked a bit after dinner and it was the coolest, driest weather we had felt in months–high 70’s, I’m guessing. Beautiful.
Your weather sounds ideal! It is cool and damp here, today; the boys picked some more apples for us and I made cookies. These are the good old days; and I am thankful for them. My husband prayed a similar prayer, this morning, to what you just mentioned. I feel grateful for faith to face each day. We never know what is around the corner: I just know that I don’t want to face it alone.

I loved thinking about the leaves being splatters of paint! Wonderful, Wendy . . .and I’ll see you there! 🙂 God bless you!
Oh yes, for absolute sure! He promised. And He is the one Leader that does not break promises!

I see His gallery, too – I just never called it by that name before – lovely thought, Wendy!
Thank you, Melody!

Indeed, God is the Great Painter of unsurpassed art. Thank you for sharing such beautiful pictures and poetry.
Thank you! I truly think this sets us apart from the other creatures He made. We love to create art because we were made in His Image.
