Heavenly Hydrangeas

Anticipating…

Green unveiling blue

Metamorphosis

Petals born anew

Just biding your time

Until it’s your hour

So butterfly like

Transforming flower

Oh shades of clear skies

An ocean of blue

You do dazzle me

With heavenly hues

Dew droplets sparkle

Upon moonlit sea

With your sapphire waves

Washing over me

Shades that will deepen

When chills do arrive

Lavender blue fades

But you’re still a prize

From garden to vase

Lasting forever

Please may we harvest

Your golden treasure?

2012/Wendy

I wrote this while listening to my daughter’s piano lesson taking place in the background.  Her music ability is transforming quickly into something very  beautiful. I’m so glad she loves to play.

Like the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly, our Heavenly Father wants to see our hearts born anew.  The book of John, in the New Testament, is a great place to read about this.

  1. Hydrangeas were the “color” in my bridal bouquet…still a favorite. Beautiful pictures, and how great that your daughter created such inspiring music! Blessings, Alison

  2. Hello Wendy,
Lovely photos and poetry. And how lovely to read of another home and garden with blue Hydrangeas and the sounds of piano music! Best wishes to your daughter with her playing. It will be a joy for you all in the years ahead,I’m sure. I gave it up at 13, and took it up again 5 years ago….. and home made music is such a delight,
    best wishes

    1. I agree, homemade music is delightful – indeed! Good on you for getting back into it. Our daughter loves piano and it is a relief that she wants to practice… I have heard stories about practice battles. Lessons was her idea. 🙂
